THE FALLS HARVEST FESTIVAL
HIGHLIGHTS FROM 2007

Enjoy a family friendly, day-long celebration of the harvest in the Finger Lakes! Free admission and tons of fun!

The Festival will culminate with fireworks! Fireworks will cascade from the top of Shequagua Falls in the center of the Village of Montour Falls after a live evening concert of original music from Rochester's alternative country band, HUNU? from 6-9pm.

The harvest theme is woven into all activities including live music, artistic demonstrations, silly contests, educational and entertaining exhibits, and more! Activities, vending and exhibits emphasize hands-on or demonstration opportunities for all ages.

The public is invited to submit a scarecrow creation into the Scarecrow Contest on the day of the event. $50 awards will be distributed to the best in 7 different categories, thanks to the generosity of Chemung Canal Trust Company.

Scarecrows will be on display throughout the day and judges will select award winners at the festival conclusion. Advance entry application and $5 are required in advance. Download entry form from the Schuyler County Chamber of Commerce website by selecting "Scarecrow Contest" from "Visiting Watkins Glen and Schuyler County" from their website ~ here ~ or pick one up at the Watkins Glen and Montour Falls offices of Chemung Canal Trust Company.
